AR stripped lower on Rensselaer County permit

Has anyone managed to do this in Rensselaer county? Have done a decent bit of searching and it’s clear that some folks in other counties were able to, but I want to know if anyone in my county has.

Want to build an AR Pistol. I have a couple lowers already, or I could purchase a new one, I don’t really care, I just want a way to get one of the things on my permit.

I was told recently by IndoorGunRange on Hoosick (who months ago were selling fixed mag AR pistols) that the Rensselaer County permit office is no longer allowing AR Pistols on permits, because they are nervous about it or something stupid like that. However I know from experience that they literally called it an “AR Pistol” on the receipt which is not the smartest IMO. I’m having a hard time finding a gun shop in the area that will touch this subject because they feel it’s a gray area.

I just want a way to get a custom built one on my permit.

If they dont allow it i will give your money back. Every single ar pistol i have sold hasbeen successfully added to permits. Even in Nassau county.

Thanks for the reply @Bullet Guy. I was really hoping to do a custom build though, will you only do a transfer on one of your own? I understand if that is the case. Do you have pics and specs of your AR pistols?

I will transfer a complete pistol sent to me as a pistol. (But you will pay more for less quality i am sure.... )

Obviously any compliance work will need to be done. Parts and labor. min bench fee is $60.
