Yes. My feelings are hurt.
Of course, and transfer fees will go up because regulations have driven up the cost of doing business. The gun forums where guys in places like CA where they're charging $100 per transfer come to mind. And when those laws requiring safes, cameras, ect come to fruition and some tabletop FFL’s decide to close their doors because they cannot afford to comply or just prefer not to, once their is a big enough void, someone else will become one with those cameras and safes because they will make a killing.
And when people stop buying as many guns due to those fees, FFL’s will have to lower their fees or risk going out of business.Of course, and transfer fees will go up because regulations have driven up the cost of doing business. From what I've heard over the years, places like Buds are happy making as little as $5 per gun and rely on volume of sales that are impossible for your typical local FFL to match. There's only so much room in the marketplace for a handful of places like grabagun or Bud's to existQuestion. Then how come a place like Bud’s buys them for much cheaper and sells them for much cheaper? Bulk maybe?
Then they'll go out of business and people will complain that they have no transfer options. Dealers aren't charities. They will pass along the costs of doing business plus a little profit for their timeAnd when people stop buying as many guns due to those fees, FFL’s will have to lower their fees or risk going out of business.

That I am not sure of. Gander was buying a shit ton of guns at their high point. There may have been kick backs and rebates that we did not see.
And when they do go out of a business, one guy or a group of guys will pool their money together, buy an inexpensive camera system, buy a bunch of safes to put into a garage, and corner the market. Then they'll go out of business and people will complain that they have no transfer options. Dealers aren't charities. They will pass along the costs of doing business plus a little profit for their time
Guys need to stop hoping that the FFL genie is going to magically pop out low transfer charges in a high cost high regulation area
The store was selling them for $579. Gander was paying, I think, $495. Not much in that at all.
When a place like Buds or Grabagun are able to sell a gun for less than what I pay as a small FFL, you know that they're getting some steeply discounted prices based on volume. That I am not sure of. I can remember when two individuals could come together and after some negotiation, freely exchange personal private property for money.
This is what we have become?

My wife said it's the same folks who own Wolf Oak Acres on Creek Rd. An old farm turned wedding venue .Is that the same guy that did the Wolf hollow shop ?
The problem arises when one party has gotten used to the low overhead internet-only seller selling in volume on thin margins, and thinks that the local FFL should be able to match that. What used to be the wholesale price is expected to be the retail priceI can remember when two individuals could come together and after some negotiation, freely exchange personal private property for money.

The problem has already arisen, when a man cannot freely acquire or dispose of his personal property without the government being involved. The problem arises when one party has gotten used to the low overhead internet-only seller selling in volume on thin margins, and thinks that the local FFL should be able to match that. That's an entirely different issue, unrelated to the question of the threadThe problem has already arisen, when a man cannot freely acquire or dispose of his personal property without the government being involved.

Yeah I always have to laugh at the "hundreds of dollars an hour for a few minutes work" type stuff that pops up on gun forums.Guess I am going to ask how you guys that hate LGS are fairing under Kingy's shut down. Because we are small, we are doing some hours and I am working LOTS of hours trying to FIND ammo and guns. black guns and shotguns are really in demand. BTW, we are getting business from CNY and from way North AND I ususally can beat Buds and we carry Military rifles. I also have encountered companies that will not ship to NY because of the shut down. Good luck getting that ammo when they won't ship. Hope some here remember that. Look around and find a decent shop.
As for making hundreds of dollars an hour doing transfers, lololololol!!!!
