And if they dont, and you are caught then its a fel0ny.This is so dumb, it’s like having to put a sign on a restaurant, that says “you can eat here”
Maybe Walmarts and big mall chainstores that want to sell guns and not post the signs may still sell if they transfer to a mom and pop ffls. They may also need to hire exempt LEO types to handle the product as well as the shipper handling the product. Yeah FUKH and her crew are arrogant dumb asses insulting all with this petulant temper tantrum legislation. The point here is if they sell they MUST allow.
There is no way around it to take possession lawfully. The sign must be displayed.
How about the Hamburg fair gun show this weekend? They strip you of your pistol at the door and zip tie it open through the chamber and give it back. They two don’t have to go hand in hand. The point here is if they sell they MUST allow.

Walmart does not search and disarm and you still have your weapon at the gun show. How about the Hamburg fair gun show this weekend? They strip you of your pistol at the door and zip tie it open through the chamber and give it back. They two don’t have to go hand in hand.
That does not meet the requirements of NYS to lawfully take possession.

Welcome to NY.This is so dumb, it’s like having to put a sign on a restaurant, that says “you can eat here”
The sign is required by law for any possession of any firearm on property."Are stores like Walmart required to post this sign?"
for carrying while shopping.
who cares ???Wouldn’t any store that sells any type of firearm have to post a sign that guns are welcome due to the fact that you have to take possession on the property? By default every store that sells must allow any firearm. There is no way around it this is the sign provided by NYS.

The taking possession has to do with buying a semi-auto rifle. This thread is about...
The sign is required by law for any possession of any firearm on property.
Right now you can be arrested for having a shotgun you just bought in the parking lot loading it into your car.
This is just one example of how stupid the law is. It’s literally a catch 22. Someone will be arrested and made an example of. It needs to be exposed to change it.who cares ???
No they don't. Just because you believe it doesn't mean the store (or the world) agrees with you.The point here is if they sell they MUST allow.
There is no way around it to take possession lawfully. The sign must be displayed.
They don’t search and disarm you at the gun show either.Walmart does not search and disarm and you still have your weapon at the gun show.
To take possession the sign must be in place. It’s the law. Even at the gun show.
Still taking possession of the gun on their property. They own the vestibule and likely the parking lot.I bought 1 gun at Walmart and they had to walk me to the door with it. A fucking 22 LR. I told the guy when he handed me my gun "I've been carrying a handgun the whole time".
He laughed and said he didn't care.
It’s a sign or consent. Them saying we would ask you to refrain from open carrying firearms in our store is consent to have a gun at their store.
I’m not putting a sign up at my house saying guns welcome, but if any of you ever come over you have my consent to carry there until you’re an asshole while on site. Not saying anyone here is being an asshole, but that’s my rules.
Yes, all mine do.Do any NY Walmarts still sell guns? I've only been into maybe 2 Walmarts in NY in the last 10 years, and neither sells guns.
Geneseo Walmart sells guns as well as Canadaigua.Do any NY Walmarts still sell guns? I've only been into maybe 2 Walmarts in NY in the last 10 years, and neither sells guns.
The one in north Tonawanda does. They have a few .22’s and some shotguns here and there.Do any NY Walmarts still sell guns? I've only been into maybe 2 Walmarts in NY in the last 10 years, and neither sells guns.
