Ares Scr Question (on NYC permit renewal)

I currently have an SCR registered in NYC.
It's been registered since I bought it in 2016.
I am renewing my rifle shotgun petmit,permit, you know it's all on line and they make you search for the name of company to enter it. Problem is Ares or Fightlite is not in database. I don't remember what I did 3 years ago,but does anyone know what to enter in search box so I can add it in
Properly? Tried all abbreviations and combos I could think of. I'm not calling them as I know that's a waste of time.

Is there an “other” for unlisted manufacturers? I would try asking in the nyguns subreddit, there appears to be more NYC residents with permits over there.

I figured it out. Put Unknown in and it let's you do it. I don't understand how Ares or Fightlite aren't listed.

When you first registered it did you need a factory invoice or such with a SKU# that it came with a 5rd mag? I ask because I remember another thread from awhile back that mentioned that as the Mini 14 also is shipped from the factory with a 5rd SKU# model.

No,I don't think so. I bought it like 6 years ago from Gander Mountain. They don't even ask Mag capacity anymore.

I have an Ares. I'll check my paperwork and let you know how I did mine.

I always print out my renewals.

You have to put "unk", no Ares,etc in data base

I guess they aren't widely known as the major brands.

I'm sure NYC/NYPD also hates the idea of anything that resembles an AR being allowed in the city. The sheer fact that it can use an AR upper with a modified bolt and associated scary accessories must drive them nuts. It goes against their facist
-anti "assault weapon"-controlling-despotic behavior.

Our city is a cesspool of filth and corruption. It eats away at my soul every God awful day I am stuck here.

I'm in the same frame of mind.
Hopefully the CCW case has major consequences on Sullivan and also why we need a license for a long gun in America is neyond me.
