I can’t help but think that the left’s perpetual call to violence against those who would stand in their way is a self fulfilling prophesy to unhinge the extreme within their own as a form of call to action. It is as if the left has a zero remorse requirement for the loss of life within their own as long as their end game agenda is fulfilled.

So who decides if it is safe and why is safe to end the confinement? Any doctors or epidemiologists involved?

Honestly though, since the health care system isn't getting overwhelmed the distancing is counterproductive.

Herd immunity requires a fixed number of people to get the virus. That number does not change no matter how well locked down society is.

If the old and vulnerable are locked down the same as the young and healthy, they will all be exposed at the same rate.

If the young and healthy aren't locked down, but the vulnerable voluntarily do lock down, that gives the vulnerable a massive advantage in not being part of the "70% who need to get it before it goes away".

Literally the spring breakers volunteered to take one for the team to spare grandma.

We have been using the data-sources at work to create descriptive and inferential models that are now starting to give a bit more accuracy.
We don't use news and governments data-sources so we go to the independent databases from hospitals and universities.
We also compare different sources, validate and have and adjustment variables for accuracy.

The flu in Spain killed 6.2K people in 2019(12 months). The corona has killed 3 times those many confirmed in 2 months but
almost double that (5-6 times the flue deaths) now being confirmed.
Unlike the flu there is no vaccine so high risk groups have no protection at all.

This map is not perfect but it is a good one with the exception of china that statistically is an impossibility to go flat lined but
we know they have been lying from day one anyway. We also know Spain news have been in cahoots with the government
to hide almost 50% of the deaths reported from hospitals plush a given percentage because it was not diagnosed but can
be attributed to covid complications.

let them be honest and realistic.

I think without the lockdown orders, people would be far safer.

People would be left to make their own choices, and see things firsthand and choose their course of action.

With the orders, people will try and defy them out of spite, and because they can't go out and experience the world to see if the sky really is falling, under threat of violence.

But without them the media chokehold on lives would peter off and this thing would just be this year's flu. And they don't want that. They want the fear so this giving up of liberty becomes downright demanded.

I feel the same way about vaccines. And I fully support them. Most rational people do. But IF you want them get them, get them. If not, don't.

The price of living in a free society is that this invented "right to safety" does not exist. You are welcome to take whatever precautions you wish. If you think an asteroid is going to fall from the sky, wear a hard hat. But you have NO right to force it on others and strip others of their actual rights. There is never a time where "if it saves even one life..." is acceptable.

I don't even have a problem with private businesses saying "if you don't have a mask on, don't come in." As long as it is their choice. I will simply not shop there.
