I think it's possible, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Also, as much as they should be completely independent legal issues, I don't think they want to make major moves on gun control and abortion at the same time. If they decide they need to choose, I think they will choose abortion.
And I'll still be here with my "assault weapon" (assuming I have one), or whatever other firearm I decide to get.
Because their verbal gymnastics doesn't mean shit anymore.
The Constitution doesn't provide my Rights. It tells the government to fuck off trying to deny them.

Once again I will refer everyone to the NINTH Amendment…. Which unequivocally points out that rights are RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE!!! (dammit!). It was expressed before the Tenth Amendment for a reason! The rights are held by “the People” long before they are passed to the states or the union at large.
