Well you can only impeach the POTUS, so when out of office, you're no longer the POTUS! So it's really not so hard to understand unless you enjoy koolaid! Otherwise, hell... Impeach someone, anyone, Joe the Hit Dog guy... Because he's a private citizen just like any other "Former" POTUS. Just sayin ;)

The other part of the reason they're pushing impeachement is to force Republican representatives hands. Those that vote no they will hold up to the angry mob for crucifixion.

The more I think about it this has to be the primary reason. Even idiots like AOC should know there's no time for the full process to proceed.
