On a sort of related note.......
Friends of ours who live in Oregon were going to see their son in college awhile back. The son lives in Idaho.
They were driving their brand new Cadillac EV.
Almost all of the charging stations had the cable to plug your car in missing.
They learned from a guy at the station that, because the very thick cables are made of copper, they are ALWAYS stolen. Apparently this is an epidemic in many areas.
Luckily they were able to find a few intact stations on the way, but they had to go many miles out of their way with no guarantee the cables would be there.
Their other car is a Tesla with far less range, so they took their Cadillac on their trip.
When they got home they immediately bought a used Yukon for future trips.
Luckily they have the money to do this.
They love their EVs as long as they don't have to go more than 150 miles from home.

I like this idea.

A single seat, tube-frame, all-wheel-drive EV with 100-150 mile range, minimal "perks", would be great as a commuter/driving toy. something that would let me just cruise around after work, maybe hit a trail or two. Similar to what I do with my KTM motorcycle right now.

But if I want to drive to Arizona to see Spat I'm taking my Jeep!

I don't believe we being the people of NYS had anything to do with this.

Just one blue state (NY) copying another blue state (CA). Two states totally out of touch with their electorate.

Curious of when NYer's will finally say enough is enough....

I will find a way to get the best of them. I hate rules like this and I will do worse than run a blower. I’ll burn all sorts of trash at my parents place and some in my backyard. I’ll start using my gas blower every time I cut my grass just to use it. When I need a replacement I’ll buy another gas blower instead of adding an ego battery blower.
Is this stupid? Yes and I shouldn’t have to live this way but it’s my life for now at least and maybe until I die.
