Just a heads up: My 930 SPX had issues with the shot tube binding up today. I called Mossberg and 930SPXs made prior to 2014 are eligible for upgrades. They had issues with the shot tubes, followers and bolt releases. Mine is a 2013. They will run your serial number and let you know if you need the upgrade. Shipping is on you though.

I had a 930 jm pro but i sold it. I compiled a list of things to do to improve reliability of feeding and running. I scoured the web on all sorts of forums many 3 gunners would do these things to help the gun run better. Funny thing is i just stumbled on this list today when going through files on my phone.

Feeding from the tube issues

For light primer strikes install an extra power ruger 10/22 hammer spring in place of the stock hammer spring

Lightly polish the piston housing with a medium grit cratex tip on a dremel for smoother piston movement

Mag tube scratches - take a dremel to the main piston spring ends.

Polish the chamber with medium grit cratex (as far as you can reach but at least as deep as the brass goes.

Polish up the extractor groove with medium grit cratex and if your ambitious polish up the extractor and plunger with medium cratex.

If you are having issues with loading or feeding with an extension the bevel the edges where they meet.
