The press release (generated by the same office taking credit) keeps giving credit to James as though SHE did all the legal and prosecutorial work, when I doubt her fatass was ever in Court...Judge, Jury, and Executioner all in cahoots you stand a good chance of winning any case...the stench of Kangaroo shit must be overwhelming.
Hate him or not, he could and DID raise a fuck-ton of money...
I hope they go after the American Red Cross and Humane Society and others the way they targeted the NRA.

I was reading last night about the amount of people fleeing NYS. Not just NYC/Boroughs/Westchester areas... but also upstate.
In the past 5 years, I know of at least 30 close/friends people that moved outta here. That ain't good. That's a lot of tax revenue lost since some of them are making lots of money.
Since it's December, 2 left this year. One to TX and one to TN.
I love my job, and my house... but taxes and cost of living is just getting absurd. Besides from the shitty NY weather, it's second to the politics and peoples attitudes here in NY is why I want to leave.
Was telling my boss this past summer, I got only a few more years left then I'm outta here unless something ticks me off real bad (more deprived freedoms is what I'm referring to!).
Our eldest Son seemed very established in NY with a good job, his own side business, and sub-contracting to a larger operation on jobs too big for one man: His wife and him are going South in a couple months to check out areas to relocate to, and wherever they go, the rest of us will go as well.
I'm already looking for a Road Tractor and a couple 53' Trailers as we have no reservations about telling NYS to fuck off and die.

In my case, when I got the Hell out of New York it was due to a number of factors that finally forced my hand: the poor business climate compared to the rest of the country; the lawsuit madness after having fought off multiple lawsuits (one for $145 mil); insane property taxes; business insurance issues; a PITA money grubbing ex-wife who was driving me into the poor house; local cops fighting me over my 2A rights, and much more...
I had always figured I would die there and could NEVER leave NY. In the end, I was wrong. It was BRUTAL getting out. But after I left, my stress level dropped at least 80%. And my financial situation likewise drastically improved.

NYS and CA have always been the testing grounds for “How far can we go”. Test and find the push backs, test and get partially corrected by higher law, then you know where the sharp end is.
Did you notice in the last paragraph in the story that Hochul has received over a half million Dollars from the Lawyers Association and twice vetoed legislation to restrain the frivolity? Courts ARE all about the money...Judges are very highly paid, even their Secretaries are six figure employees at the County level.

Second, if I had planned it earlier, I would've escaped earlier and been enjoying it all much sooner! I've since retired and plan to spend all my retirement $$$ and time outside NY (as much as possible) lol.

Well, what gets me, I look at the cost of living when I go traveling for work and the folks I talk to (even the libtards of the world), joke about how cheap it is to live where they are. With the exception of big cities. Rural areas like I live in other states are a far cry cheaper than what I'm paying for property and school taxes. Along with no state tax or minimal state tax. Just equates if I'm making the same amount of money here in NY, I'd be keeping at minimum 15% more in another state to put away or buy shit with. 15% may not sound like a lot, but compound it for the rest of your life, it adds up.
Not to mention more freedoms too.

It'll be Spring before the wheels really start turning; I'll modify the inside of the Trailer to accommodate and secure "sensitive items" or might say fuck it and have a huge Auction...there's an awful lot to do either way.

Its not mine but I know it pretty well, this should reflect what is is accurately but I may be off on some details. 07 Freightliner Columbia, currently registered as a "RV", but that is easy enough to go back, mileage in the 700's, 72" high roof sleeper. Detroit 60 series with a tune, 13speed. The only thing funky about it is the frame was professionally stretched so its a long boi for sure. I think he is in the low to mid 20's asking. Its a solid well maintained truck, only summer use so rust is minimal, he got something else so no need for two.
A little earlier and it could have been a sweet combo to include a 48' drop frame furniture trailer but bad things happened to that over the summer.

I dont like the NRA either, they left us New Yorkers high and dry, they never even sent a representative to the Albany mud march in march of 2014, where 7500 of us stomped Andrews (OUR) yard into a mud wallow. I vowed to never give them another nickel after that. Then it comes out that LaPierre was using the money for lavish parties and vacations.

Actually that's not correct: Tom King and John Cushman (deceased) were both NRA Board Members and were in attendance, Tom King spoke, he also convinced the NRA to support NY and NYSRPA to the tune of 2.5 Million plus to get the Bruen Lawsuit against NY/NYC to SCOTUS. I'm not exactly happy with Wayne and his excessive salary and lavish (at least to me) lifestyle, but he DID raise a hell of a lot of money and could make things happen with a phone call, the simple of this is that he gained the NRA a lot of money, members, and influence while spending it to do so.
I don't mind paying a CEO a million a year when he makes the company ten, that's capitalism...HOWEVER I do mind when "Charitable" and Not-for-profits pay their people huge salaries and benefits simply because they can. (American Red Cross and ASPCA come instantly to mind, the Clinton Foundation exploited the hell out of our charitable Laws and the foolishness of people to donate based on feelings rather than facts)
If not the NRA, we should each hold membership to all the Pro-Gun/2A organizations possible...numbers matter.

I was there. Lots of mud and lots of NYSP snipers on the adjacent rooftops. Andy Qhomo expected fireworks and violence from the protesters and all he got was a a park that was left cleaner than when we arrived and free from litter. Unlike the other protesters who stacked their trash in the bus stop and wherever else they could toss it.
Albany sucks. Wayne L P. was a stain on the NRA.
Albany is number two in suck only to NYC.
I was at the NRA Annual Meeting when Oliver North wanted Wayne out and the Membership present gave an overwhelming vote of confidence for Wayne, and North was shown the Door...Keep this in mind as well: ALL the accusations, prosecutions, investigations, News Stories, and damning press releases came from AG James who swore in her election campaign that she was going to destroy the NRA...when all the information comes from the side trying to destroy you, don't you think it's going to be damning and one sided?

I had planned to be out of NYS 8 years ago, but things like a Son with Cancer, a Mother with Dementia, a Grandchild, and several other life changing events managed to get the fickle finger of fair giving me a prostate exam...Having the Family as a whole on board with relocation certainly changes the dynamics.
