Bought it mainly for the Konus scope and Vortex mount; Sum of parts was more than my winning bid. Decided to dissasembled and have a look before even going to range, found the gas port to be ...unusual.
Came in a psa box but cannot id the maufacture for certain. Don't think the K is for Krieger.ha.
Guess it wasn't under gassed.

That is a huge gas port for 5.56! I'd wager that gas port is larger than the stock mini 14 gas port, lol. I hope you enjoy launching brass into orbit, haha.

You can get an adjustable gas block that is a front sight post type. That will help reduce the gas flow from the hole which used to be a port.

Yea, I didn’t see any. Doesn’t appear to have been used much.
I can’t see a barrel mfg being that far off though, Who knows.
Gonna set it aside for now, maybe play around with an adj. block eventually.

Bigger than the M1 Garand‘s too..almost want to shoot it for the over gas blast..lol.
