What We Know About the Austin BLM Protest Shooting

Garrett Foster was shot and killed on Saturday night in an altercation with a motorist who had turned into an intersection full of protesters.

Many conflicting reports on this but I will say the pictures and videos I saw clearly show this dude in a "shooter ready" position with his rifle. If this dude rolled up on my car with his elbow almost touching his ear and his hand on his weapon, he's getting blasted right through the window like one concealed carrier did on Saturday.

The aboslute worst part about this is that the Libertarian movement (including Jo Jorgensen) is getting behind this reckless guy and making him out to be a hero. Needless to say, Jo lost my vote for 2020. I'd vote for Trump if it actually made a difference in NY, but that remains to be seen. I really felt this would be a strong year for Libertarians. Needless to say, she lost A LOT of supporters this weekend. All you have to do is look at her FB/Twitter.

Police confirmed BLM rifle guy did not fire his weapon. Still doesn't mean he was not a justified threat but they did confirm his rifle was not fired.

He was interviewed and released the night it happened just like the driver, pending an investigation. It doesn't sound like any charges will be filed but we shall see. I know the Libertarian community is absolutely split because of this incident. Half of the community (myself included) thinks that based on the current facts available, the shooter was justified in his use of deadly force. The other half of the community paints Garret as a hero, wielding an AK47 and fighting against police brutality. I just don't see it.

I mostly support the anti-police brutality message being pushed by BLM but the organization has been infiltrated by ANTIFA and Marxists alike. You won't catch me anywhere near a protest or even a city for that matter. It's just not safe anymore to go to heavily populated areas and risk confronting a mob.

That changed dramatically from what I understood. The first 5 sounded like rifle rounds. More details are needed IMO to form a logical conclusion as to what happened.
