I could only take that guy for 20 seconds. Got a summery?
The dude was basically selling lightning link punch outs on a card. Not much mystery why there was a bust. Customers gonna be in trouble too.
Wonder what happens if you sell stickers to put on some sheet metal and hit with a dremel ?From a website called thehomegunsmith.com (not sure if this is the one talked about in the video):
"The only complaint I've ever heard about the Lightning Link is it converts the firearm to full auto only. I
can't see that's a problem. No one says you have to hold the trigger down until the magazine's empty. I've
found with a little practice it's easy to fire two shot bursts using the Link.
Also keep in mind; that it takes only about ten seconds to install the Lightning Link in a standard unaltered
AR-15, and only about six seconds to remove it. Going from semi-auto to full and back to semi is only a
matter of seconds."
Yea, I'm betting the feds saw the conversion to full auto as something of a problem.
Why buy/sell when scaled drawings are all over the interwebs. Print on an avery label to scale, apply, and use your SOT to make a post sample.Wonder what happens if you sell stickers to put on some sheet metal and hit with a dremel ?
80% machinegun ?
A lightning link converts semi auto to full auto with a simple drop in. You can read about it here: Full Auto for Any AR: How a Lightning Link Works -

Reading the comments, it is not a "simple" drop in piece of tin.
You must use a specific Colt bolt carrier, have a low shelf receiver, be able to time your rifle among other things.
That's not to say it is impossible, but not do-able by the average guy with a PSA kit or Windham rifle.
Just requires a semi-auto carrier. And as for low shelf, that's almost every receiver manufactured today (and the majority of most non-Colt post 1971 receivers). Whether or not it's been timed is irrelevant, a gun with a lightning link and a semi carrier will fire in full auto, even if it's out of battery, and that's a machinegun.
Shushhhh!!!!! Next they're going to tell us files and grinders are machine guns.so what happens if you go into the trigger group and file and grind on some places .. like the disconnector sear and things .. you wouldn't need a key
right ? this key card is because you don't have a switch .. safe .. semi .. full .. correct ..
A shoelace and rubberbands has been determined to be a machine gun in the past. Lightning link is safe and auto only, but can be removed in seconds with no real evidence that bad things occurred.so what happens if you go into the trigger group and file and grind on some places .. like the disconnector sear and things .. you wouldn't need a key

Last I checked PSA are high shelf, and I believe Anderson is as well (if I remember I will go grab my poverty pony and check)
The PSA ones can be high or low, depending on when made. All of the Anderson's I have seen are low, I'd be interested to know if you have a high one. Spikes, Aero, CMMG, and the classic Bushmaster are all low.
Depends on the brand, but as I said the majority of the non-Colt ones are all low shelf.
Wonder when CMMG switched to low shelf
You are now.So if I draw a picture of a nuke am I violating the NPT?
