Why waste your time with those types of people? Typically they are too blind to see the facts right in front of them.

Because I know lots of liberal gun owners, so I know there are at least some who are open to reason on the topic of guns. Just the other day on that same website I had people telling me I was right to have a concealed carry permit because of increased violence against LGBT people. Frame things the right way and some antis will at least soften their views. Most of them have never heard any pro-gun arguments except for out of context and extreme quotes from Dana Loesch or Wayne LaPierre, so when they encounter a "normal" gun owner it takes them by surprise.
Exactly the reason I've always tried to get as many women and social minorities as possible involved in responsible gun ownership and shooting sports and supported LGBT gun groups like Pink Pistols. Our gun rights will simply crumble and fade into obscurity if they continue being seen as a relic associated only with aging straight white males (such as myself) and we can't convince the greater populace to break and re-think their stereotypes of what a gun owner looks like and believes.
