Oh. But it does. It counts towards the popular vote. Several states have said that they will have their electors vote for the recipient of the popular vote. If that is the case, your vote counts more than ever.

Also if a candidate loses by the popular vote by a vast amount, the media uses talking points about eliminating the electoral college and that he isn’t legitimate . If it’s close, they really can’t say shit.

So if he does what you don’t like towards guns, you’ll give your vote towards someone else that you don’t like what they do towards guns, immigration, American jobs, etc...?

Not every candidate is a perfect fit for everyone. You have millions of unique Americans with issues that vary by importance. If someone doesn’t care about guns but cares about immigration law and our domestic economy, should he then vote for candidate that support gun control but is against strong immigration laws and doesn’t give a rats ass about the American worker?

Trump is leagues better than other candidates for other reasons besides guns.

Whether anyone likes it or not, everyone votes for the better of the two that fits him or her the best. It’s impossible to have 2 candidates that represent 50 percent of the population one way 100 percent. Impossible. Bush didn’t represent me 100 percent but he got my vote because he was the closest. That’s how it works.
