Surely I jest... All I was conveying was the extreme blood loss; not that it would be the ideal target (ref. conversation above; .357 in the leg...)
Tula.it just occurred to me from all the cal testings on gel blocks and other items .. has anyone asked what is the ammo of choice in Chicago ?? they hold the highest killing score every yr .. .. just saying ..
I like the Paul Harrell tests. They are much more informative to me. He said he’s seen deer shot with 9mm and .357 mag and you can guess what had better results.
Well the .357 does have hollow points that penetrate much more than 18 inches but it would also depends on shot placement. You can shoot a deer with your trusty .308 every season at more or less the same place and they'll each react differently unless they are the same size and age and the shot was at the exact same place.I like the Paul Harrell tests. Right. If you want penetration and expansion .357 mag is a good choice. I don’t see 9mm or 45 being it’s equal. The guys in the video seemd to say they were. Of course you pay the price in recoil, big guns ect. I’m not talking about the 2 inch revolvers to get performance.Well the .357 does have hollow points that penetrate much more than 18 inches but it would also depends on shot placement. For anyone interested.
65 gr +P out of 16 inch barrel
Federal HST 124 gr +P out of 16 inch barrel
Interesting results in the 2nd video.
As far as the HST 124gr +P out of a PCC is concerned you shouldn't shoot naked BG's?
