So I am about to start my application process I have some arrest that are from around 2005 (15years) I was a youthful offender I wanna know how far back they can search for background check

One possession charge for marijuana and also burglary charge everything was dismissed and sealed Westchester county

Nothing is sealed. They will see everything. The burglary charge is going to be an uphill battle to overcome.
Why would you ask the question if you think you already know the answer? I provided you with the proper information in my response, but if you think you know more than me, I suggest you do it your way and let us know how that works out for you.

We’re the charges dismissed or were they plead down? Sealed to me would indicate your were convicted.
Make absolutely sure you list everything and attach the court dispositions. If you leave anything off you will 100% be denied. There is no limit on how far they go back. Everything is visible to them.

Never heard of that. I have no idea what that is referring to. Maybe job related searches but doesn’t apply to pistol permits.

Dismissed but I could not get the dispositions from the town I was arrested in I need to contact the clerk for the county / and also do traffic tickets need to go on speeding etc

Write a letter to the judge. Include everything. My friend could not get supporting documentation for an adjudicated youthful offender and include it. The judge appreciated it.

look at the application. if it asks for arrests, list them all. Period.

I have heard of people with multiple tickets being denied for a pistol license. By multiple I mean many. It’s bs, but you’re at the mercy of a judge.
