The Democrat controlled state governments completely ignore the US Constitution / Bill of Rights and the previous SCOTUS decisions regarding the 2A.
I know what their end game is, it's obvious by now... What I don't know is, what is our end game?
The SCOTUS takes on planned parenthood cases, A baking a cake for queers case, A giving a marriage license to queers case,
They take on a case about what restroom someone that has a penis or a front hole can use. But the SCOTUS hasn't touched a desperately needed 2A case in over 10 years.
It looks like at this point and time we are the only protectors of our constitution.
And we are not doing a good job, but what are we supposed to do? What would our forefathers recommend?
What if we told our forefathers that we have to much to lose to stand up for our rights.
We have our families and careers to think about. We just have to much to lose.
Our forefathers would probably respond by saying,,, so fucking what... SO DIDN'T WE.

Peaceful resistance through proper and appropriate channels of communication to our representatives in office.
It also means I bend everyone’s ear during Thanksgiving and Christmas about why the 2nd helps us to give the rest of our Rights. Also, I am helping neighbors set up their accounts for the Senate and House to give feedback. They never new there was an online tool.

We pushed hard against Cuomo's NY UNSAFE Act and now we are on the verge of getting NY UNSAFE 2.
Yeah, a lot of good all of those peaceful rallies and a letter righting campaign did.
THEY DON"T GIVE A FUCK WHAT WE SAY... THEY DON'T HAVE, OR, NEED OUR VOTES.
We have no meaningful representation.

You have to do something. Anything more than peaceful protesting and we will have given them a real reason to demonize us. Not just some media scripted snippet.
Letting your representatives know you do not support a bill and bringing the threat of never voting for them again is small, but significant.
The Republican Party has swung seats in the past primarily because people didn’t vote. The Democrats rely on this to retain power knowing a good majority do not vote in state elections.
Now, if I show up to the polls with 10 friends and 5 family members. I can make a small but noticeable difference. Now if each person on this forum just brought two friends, that’s a sweeping victory in most state elections.
Now, before you say the Republican Party is just as guilty, I know. They, however, align more with my fiscally conservative libertarian views.

exactly right. The American gun owner is becoming an extinct breed. I predict, by 2028 (10 years) there will be so many restriction on gun owners it will make owning guns impossible. The 2A will still be on the books, it will be like your appendix, it will be there, but useless

Only if you let it. We are not terribly outnumbered. One major hurdle is, as Americans, we’ve had laziness bred into us over the years. If every CCW’er in NY voted that’s 16,000+ votes. That’s enough to hurt either party’s bottom line during an election cycle.

After FUAC signed the NY UNSAFE Act into law we did just that in 2013 - 2014 and into 2015.
It didn't make one bit of difference. The only things that happened are,
Our representatives got a shit ton of communications.
A squabble between two pro 2a organizations over who pays the parking fee for the busses.
A cheerleading lawyer who kept going on and on about how we will repeal the UNSAFE Act, and had some members here involved in a class action law suit IIRC and then completely disappeared into thin air never to be heard from again... I see that he does post on arfcom though.
A AR-15 cardboard cut out was confiscated by the NYSP...
Some grass got ruined...
And now we are looking at additional unconstitutional gun (people) control laws coming out of Albany on top of the original NY UNSAFE Act.
By the way, Cuomo's NY UNSAFE Act was shoved down our throats in the middle of the night (with no public input)
Now in 2018, We are looking at the probability of additional gun (people) control laws coming out of Albany.
1.) Safe Storage
2.) Red Flag Law
3.) Social Media and Internet search History
4.) Liability Insurance on guns.

so that he can sign them into law with great fanfare and announce to the world that NYS is the progressive capital.
