Yeah I'm sure 5 in a 10 wouldn't fly, I have a half dozen or so 5 rounders I been using.
I'm not sure where these guys got that notion but I can find nothing to say 10 is legal.

Yeah, not specifically being stated in the small game section is default to the general guidelines, rimefire only for 6+ rounds. Interesting bit to add, airgun is GTG for fur bearers. But there is some pretty bad ass airguns though.
Last night on the way home from town there was a lone yote standing in the field across from my place, I should have snuck out with my rifle. Tonight should be a great night to hunt, clear skies and a lot of Moon light, with the snow on the ground they'll be easy to see.

IDK new laws with FUAC for preds at night. The only semi I used at night was a 5.56 with two 5 round extended Blue Steel Pro Mags factory made, they looked like 20rd mags. Two of those mags are in picture to the right side between grip and Rem box. I got those two mags from Gunner 57, best 5 round hunting mags I ever seen.... Grab them easy in dark etc...

I used to hunt with an AR15, but since the FUAC Act passed, I only hunt with bolt rifles.
The last thing I need to be doing in the wee hours of the morning, or late at night, is dealing with an overworked DEC cop (or two) and discussing the asinine SAFE Act semi auto rifle restrictions they might know nothing about !

When I was a Free Man, before SAFE, I also hunted with extended 5 rd mags and never had any issues with the DEC, day or night.

There is no better rifle for predator hunting IMHO.
I'm not worried about the ECO's, it's the SP or your local town/village popo who have nothing else to do. Sheriff deputies don't give a shit either.

@Bushmaster finally got a green light .. but my dang sniper scope is a 33mm tube .. the mounts wont work lol .. grrr ..
so off came the bi-pod and can mount the light under the forearm on my savage 223 .. friend and me were planing on this weekend .. well that got scrubbed with this weather.

Gray pup distress plays LOUD as it will go continuous. I used it in old Johnny Stewart cassette tape callers, I blanked out the tape for one minute after 10 minutes playing so I knew 10 minutes was up at call spot, then after 1minute it would play again if needed on one that held up. The 10 minutes was so I could be productive and move couple miles to next call spot.I used RED light mostly, I had mounts on a Burris that would allow the light on top of few rifles, no matter what size tube.

Look at light mounted on bottom, it is clipped to a rail mount. Now look up at Burris quick release scope mount, it has rail mounts I could have put light on. Think all you would need is cheap high rise see through scope mount for the light is all. What's the light mount you have? any pic of it? might need a different style is all, they make lots of different ones.

I don't have a 33mm tube on any scope but I'm telling you this will work on two different size tubes at the same time. I'll mock it up on something when I get home.

@dubleuhb i believe ya .. the 33mm is over a inch by a like 9 to 10 mm .. that's quite a bit ..
i just had to remove the bipod and i could use part of the mount that came with the light to clip on the small rail the bibod clips onto .
its good for now .. going to fun now holding up this 9 lb tank LOL .. the butt is filled with auto bondo and the forearm is filled with #9 lead shot and
expoy .. my gun is at a friends safe now .. I'll be up there this evening for dinner and will get a new
photo of it ..

Your gonna need that bipod. I went to a full-sized tripod and stand up while on stand, I like it a lot better. I don't carry a stool and bipod like I used too, working good for me.

Just got back like a hour ago from the farm .. we didn't even see a field mouse .. lots of deer tracks that should have been there during deer season. LOL ..

I called this guy in last night right before dark. I bought a $20 flipping decoy from dicks, and a used Ecaller from Letgo, and a $7 can of Fox urine to use as a cover scent. I also bought EBay green LED head lamp and gun mounted light. I’m maybe at $100 at this point for getting into coyote hunting.

I'm heading up this weekend to do some grouse and coyote hunting around a friends farm near Delhi.
He had a calf die Saturday, so that bait pile will be a good spot to start.
I went up two weeks ago, but got screwed up by the crappy weather conditions.
Hopefully the weather will hold and the dogs will be on the prowl this weekend.
I'm heading up this weekend to do some grouse and coyote hunting around a friends farm near Delhi.
He had a calf die Saturday, so that bait pile will be a good spot to start.

Nice looking one, they (yotes/fox) get goofy acting during mating season,.. I would use red light though, green for long range rifle scoped hits.

2 yrs ago had snow at farm i hunt .. nothing but dog tracks .. looked likes a pack playing .. fur here and there and a spots 20 feet around with tracks just tore up .. no blood .. just fur here and there .. follow 50 yrds .. the same crap .. farmer says he hears them .. shows me possible dens ...

@Acer-m14 this is what I been using. Mounts to any size tube or light and can be taken off in seconds.
Got it from Elusive Wildlife Technologies.
