Barnes OR Berger

Which do you like and why? If you don't use either no need to post. I currently us Barnes in both my Wife's .243 and my .308 but with the addition of my daughter's .243 I may look into Berger as a choice IF their bullets are comparable to the Barnes IE no lead.

Bergers have a good reputation among competitive shooters. No one I know shoots Barnes. Talking about rifle, may be different for pistol.

Picking a bullet based on who manufactures it is very odd to me,,,,,,,,,,,,,I pick based on what I am using it for,,what animal etc etc, I pick based on range I'm using it for,,,I pick based on reviews

I use nothing but machined solid copper bullets and until today I have only used Barnes , I asked the question to find out if someone has used both and prefers one over the other.

Bergers are not lead free, nor are most hunting bullets. Barnes always work. EOS !

Ok so Barnes it is, I won’t change to a lead centered bullet!

Barnes makes a great bullet for reloading. I have had great success with them in .308.

If you use Barnes for yours and your wife's why not use them for your daughters? You already have them on hand. I would at least see if they shoot well from her rifle.

All bergers are jacketed and have a lead core.
