Typical dem propaganda. Goldwater and the repubs were war mongers that would nuke Viet Nam. Then LBJ continued to escalate from 63 til 69 when Nixon, a repub, took over and ended the shit, without nukes.

To be fair, every generation since the depression has concentrated on making life easier for their children. That is the root of the problem.

Prior to that, parents concentrated on making the children into the best adults.

I feel like even if things were still taught the way they were when I was in the public education system, we'd be far better off, and I graduated H.S. in '99.

I have a clear vision and memory of the last 60's years, politically, and before, when the culture was "normal". 1962-70 were the best years of all.

In Rome, during the 50-60's the GAFB had full fleets of B-52's flying to protect democracy. In the preceeding years I remember well, the B-47's, F100's, P-80/T-33's F84's, F-86's F101's, F102's, F 106's F4's, Canberra's, etc. and plenty of prop jobs. I once saw a SR71 Blackbird take off at dusk, and go almost straight up. CIA had a photo lab and spy station on base...now a Stewarts gas station on the site.


Iran-Contra in the mid 80's, was a great time....Dems controlled the Congress and forbade anyone from helping anti commies fight in Nicaragua.......Coors Beer, and many well heeled patriots helped defeat Ortega in Nic and and the USSR in Afghanistan............
