Bear Creek Arsenal. Wrong upper shipped!

Anyone ever order from Bear Creek Arsenal?

They had a big sale last week so I ordered a .223 Wylde 10.5” side charging upper for some range fun.

The package arrived today: a .223 Wylde stainless normal upper.

I sent an email but I’m on the fence what to do. Obviously if they ship me the other one free I’ll keep both but I’m on the fence whether or not to just keep the one I have otherwise. Man I really wanted a side charger though.

This sucks. Ever had this happen?

I called just before 5 but they must have left. I’m sure they’ll make it right, just thinking if it’s worth dealing with shipping back and such.

Yeah, at their prices, if they honored the original sale price, I’d keep both and build up another.

I might lol. I really hate shipping back. This is a sign that chickening out on a new caliber was a mistake.

I Have had the wrong thins shipped to me before (wrong sized AR500 steel plates). The company told me to keep them and they will ship the right ones to me pronto.

obviously ask them what they want you to do with the other one. They may surprise you And tell you to keep it.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. My friend had that happen with a complete A1 rifle kit from Palmetto State. They sent him two. He called and they said keep it.

Coincidentally I am spending the next two days in Sloan Kettering with him for a cancer operation. Maybe this is karma.

My FIL just bought a 7.62x39 upper from them and it didn’t work. Sent it back and they “fixed it” still didn’t work. They initially said it was the mag and buy this mag. Didn’t work. Finally he said screw this and got a .223 from them and shipped back the 7.62. He wasn’t real happy with them.

X39 is very finicky in regular AR’s. I totally rebuilt mine using the KS-47 lower/upper from Palmetto State. Couldn’t be happier. I wish they’d release them again so I can build a pistol.

Depending on what they say, I may switch to that one. That’s what I was looking at originally before deciding not to get into another caliber. Especially since I just finished building an AR-10 too.

I put together a side charger using one of their receivers, love my side charger, its a hoot to shoot!

I have looked at their side charging 350 Legend upper a few times but unexpected bills keep getting in the way.

I just hope the process goes smoothly now because if they process the return incorrectly I’m going to have to fight for the original price on the one I ordered.

I have been at the Sloan Kettering campus on 68th and York every day for the past 19 years as a contractor. I have met hundreds of doctors and nurses there and your friend will be in good hands. The ironic part is the doctors will be using something on your friend during his operation that I deliver there to the OR.

As far as the upper goes, keep it. you could never have enough gun parts.
