What gets me about this is that it appears they did this for free. It's one thing if they were paid big bucks to do this but it looks like they did it for free! Even being paid I would have a hell of a hard time cutting up guns just on principle. I wonder how many rare guns that the cops didn't decide to keep got cut. Sad.

Shame on them for destroying firearms. I liked what the author of this article had to say about training as well. I know there are training companies out there that provide separate training for law enforcement than they would for a private citizen, and I don't agree with that principle.
While certain specific training may be required to perform law enforcement duties, firearms training and tactics should be available to everybody who wants to become more proficient.
It's really quite saddening how split this country has become about firearm ownership and how it seems to be one of the biggest political issues of our time.

Wow. This saddens me greatly. I have a mini-griptillian and it's one of my favorite pocket knives. It's sitting here on my desk as we speak. I can say for sure that I'll never buy another Benchmade knife ever again.

Just checked it out. They are going through some serious shit over there. It's going to be very interesting to see the next "official reply" after their political donations suddenly became very public.
They are about to take just as big a hit as Dicks did.
From that article the author had contact with Benchmade. I have to give them credit they did well and didn't throw lame excuse out there. Still off my list of companies to buy from but the response was good.

Response was better than expected, but... I don't see how they can be pro-2nd Amendment and 1) donate to anti-gun candidates, and 2) participate in a policy that is pejorative toward the 2nd Amendment.
I don't buy $100+ pocket knives anyway, but now wouldn't spend money with them regardless of price.
I can deal with them helping the police department. I would have whatever moron posted the pictures fired though.
