Beretta Silver Snipe

Just picked up a 1965 Beretta Silver Snipe in 12 ga. with 26 3/4” barrels. Seems like it is extremely fine condition. Barrels look perfect and the wood doesn’t have a mark on it. Someone took very good care of it. Should be a brother to my Beretta Silver pigeon in 20 ga. Anyone have any experience with the silver snipe?

You are welcome to. If you ever come out to Lockport, we can go to Hartland Conservation club and shoot a few rounds . I need to shoot another shotgun that I just worked on. It is a Browning 2000.

I recently flipped a 20 gauge version of that. Very nice bird gun from everything I could find out about them.

Fixed chokes. Separate the halves, there should be stars by the chambers. That should tell you what the barrels are choked at.

Has 4 stars (improved cylinder) on the lower and 2 stars (improved modified) on the upper.

The one I had, had two different sets of markings. I never patterned it to see which was correct.

Barrels, frame, and forearm should be matched by serial number

In the 3rd pic at the joint of the receiver and handguard, it looks like there a misalignment. Is it an optical illusion?

After looking at it closely it looks like an optical illusion. Appreciate the concern.

Took it and my Browning 2000 to the range today. Both of them shoot very nice.

Me too. Being on blood thinners , it will leave a nice bruise.
