Because the BLS says the average is $31 for police and $24.97 for firefighters, before OT. This includes all the jail guards working in Okefenokee, Nowhere that bring that average down. And that number does not include the value of pension and post retirement medical, which can be up to 100% of that number in terms of value.

The FDR programs were window dressing, the only men that truly pulled us out of the Great Depression were Mussolini, Hirohito, and Adolf Hitler.

The massive troop mobilization, manufacturing, and foreign spending in America on war materiel, was a massive economic boon, and while there was a temporary post-war hiccup, that domestic manufacturing base created the most successful middle class in the 1950s/1960s that ever existed in this country.

Just ask people from that generation how easy it wsa to get a decent paying job, buy cars, buy homes, with NO NEED for credit cards, then the fat cat globalists in the 1970s started shipping jobs overseas, more in the 1980s, and then by the 1990s it was lights out (especially after NAFTA amd the WTO).

Unless they were talking their combined income, which I guess is possible.

So Stockworkers do 40 work week at 17 buck a hour that 680 a week for 52 week 35,360 so let do the really math $31,000÷52÷40=$14.90

Yes there are cops making less then $15 a hour and EMTs making making 1 dollar over minimum wage some don't have healthcare or pension unless they pay 100% of the cost
Top pay EMTs make 47,685÷52÷40=$22.92 a hour that in the biggest and busiest EMS department in the world.

Here a list of cops pay. OLD MISS AVAERAGE 33,000 SO what do you think the EMTs make.
