Yes give cops and fireman all over the country a raise. Most of them make less then $15 ahr.

"Make-work" jobs are not a benefit to society. Especially, when those salaries are paid for with tax dollars.
This proposal by the communist Sanders is nothing more than FDR's New Deal agency that was known as the Works Progress Administration. One of the government jobs created back then included seven men driving around a district in a car counting caterpillars. That'd be a great use of tax money.
Get it straight once and for all, Liberals: Socialism does...not...work!

Here a article for the FDNY.
How much do FDNY employees make?
I should have add EMS worker who are in the city making just over 16 and hour to start you thing Podunk Arkansas is paying better.
Those fringe benefits they are talking about is overtime and vacation. I should have just called them first responder.

So Stockworkers do 40 work week at 17 buck a hour that 680 a week for 52 week 35,360 so let do the really math $31,000÷52÷40=$14.90“
Stock worker: $31,000
The lowest-paid FDNY employee is a stock worker who makes approximately $31,000 with an hourly rate of about $17, according to an agency spokesman. But there's only a few employees left with that title.
”
Is that accurate though? Last conversation I overheard, NYPD was making well into the 6 figures mark. Around 150k a head. And the guy wasn’t that senior even.
Unless they were talking their combined income, which I guess is possible.

Sorry but Emergency services run 24 hrs a day that 3 shift of 8hr for EMS and a 9hr day tour and 15hr night tour for fire. Some EMS do 12hr which is nuts cause they run all day and night and the support departments run 24 hrs too.(vehicle repair shops equipment stores there a plumber electrician and carpenter on duty/Call too.)Your math is flawed. In the government world the workweek is 35 hours. 35 x 17 x 52 = $31000

These nut balls never learn. All you have to do is look at the other countries that have tried this and failed. The only people that get rich are the people running the country. They want everyone to be equal, they just don't tell the people that everyone will be equal and dirt poor. (except those of us who look out for you)
No I just know that the article is scewd EMS gets hammered don't take me wrong they get paid but not what they should in NYC and the most of the country get a lot less. You seem to like to argue with math for some reason?
