If the mag is in front of the grip on a pistol, like on a Walther bullseye pistol, it magically becomes assaulty!So a magazine "inside" the grip is good to go? As in a Hi-Point carbine??

Don't pass over a Colt Woodsman if you find one. They're well made, accurate, and comfortable to shoot. The price may be a bit steep compared to other pistols, but the resale value is high as well.
Taurus TX22 is outstanding. Mine has yet to have any mis anything’s.
Walter PPQ22 is great as well. Best semi auto 22 trigger out there. Do not confuse it with the P22. Completely different gun.
Smith 63 (compact revolver) or 617 full size can’t be beat, but they’re spendy
Yep, should've went with a vote thread,,, after a thread to see what pistols make the list.To the OP...
Congratulations on getting definitive consensus on the best 22 pistol!
I kind of like leaving it up in the air with everyone who contributed thinking they made the best point.Yep, should've went with a vote thread,,, after a thread to see what pistols make the list.
Back on track, it's a good thing to buy another gun often, but tell him to quit being a pussy. It's only a 9mm.Ok
my buddy is trying to get into shooting and is looking for a 22 pistol
He has tried out my Glock/sig in 9mm but finds that a little “aggressive”
So, can anyone recommend a quality 22 for a pistol?
Thanks
Pump, semi, or break action - which is better?Yeah - not easy to select the best option!!!!
He needs to stick to a shotgun
Still love and have my first EDC, an SP101 .357 snubby, AND I absolutely enjoy shooting my S&W 617.I can recommend the Ruger SP-101 with the 4.2" barrel. I've also played with the S&W 317, the J-Frame with a 3" barrel, and the 617, the K-Frame with the 6" barrel.
There are a few advantages to those revolvers:
If I were to go back to when I bought the SP-101, I'd probably save a few hundred more to get the S&W 617 instead for the extra sight radius as well as the weight and looks of the full underlug.
- They're cheap to shoot;
- They'll eat any ammo you feed them from underpowered to hyper velocity;
- Learning to shoot with the long and heavy double-action trigger will teach you excellent trigger control; and
- They tend to be very mechanically accurate.
That's definitely different, interesting..
Funky Deco period styling.
The original all aluminum models are fetching big $$$. I think Olympic Arms came out with later with polymer versions. Not sure.That's definitely different, interesting..
I just ordered that exact pistol .View attachment 207982
Yeah, I went with the Buckmark. I don't think you can go wrong with this gun, the Ruger, or the S&W fo that matter, but if possible go somewhere that has them in stock so you can get a feel for what fits you best.
