I’m probably among the most lenient on here when it comes to trans people, but I do think the line needs to get drawn at sports. There are inherent physical characteristics which even hormones/hormone blockers won’t overcome. I know Rogan has been saying this for a while. Even top-tier female athletes rank poorly against their male counterparts. There’s no reason we need to set any other expectations starting in school.

But you do not get to redefine the meaning of the words man and woman.

Most things in society that are segregated are segregated for a reason. If you want to divorce the notion of gender from biological sex, you will have to determine which of those it was segregated by based on *why* it was segregated.

Most of them were either based on sexual orientation, or physiology.

Segregating by sexual orientation would mean one bathroom for gay men and heterosexual women, with the other for guys and lesbians for instance.

I'm not so sure that's what we want. No idea what you do for bisexuals in the model either.

The other notion would mean the bathrooms should be labeled "penis" and "vagina" regardless of what you think you are. That one is a lot closer to what most people would be comfortable.

For most things where it makes a difference, you're going to find out that it's biology that was the reason for the difference to begin with. We have already eliminated most of the distinctions that were based on social roles where how you "identify" would matter.
