The Energy Department said it was “keeping the taxpayer’s interest at the forefront” in its decision not to purchase as many as 3 million barrels of oil for a Strategic Petroleum Reserve site in Louisiana. The plan for the barrels to be delivered in August and September had been announced in mid-March.

Well, the annual average price is obviously too high because of Bidenomics, but it is a buck lower now (around $3.00+) than the Brandon high (sniff, sniff, sniffaroo) of around ($4.00+). So, why not at least start the replenishment now? Because the price will increase because Brandon et al. (the shadow government that is pulling the strings and setting the agenda) has shut down permitting, pipelines, etc. and it's an election year when those high prices are bad for business. There is more to the story about the initial release of oil but clearly Biden release millions of gallons for political reasons. The timing of it while trying to cap Russian oil at $60.00 and buying that same oil from India and getting caught violating their own sanctions. That and the Saudis joined BRICS plus and set a goal of $100.00 per barrel.
