I just had a conversation with someone yesterday that didn't understand the need for "military grade" weapons. I showed them the meme of the 10/22 in a wood stock and "AR" stock, and I showed them a picture of a Mini-14 and an AR, and explained to them that functionally there is zero difference between the two, yet people want one banned while the other is perfectly legal, and the only difference is how they look. That conversation also got me unfriended by a "friend" that said I "cosplay as a reasonable person" because I'm "ok with kids being killed." It's hilariously sad how fast the dude went off the deep end.

Ummm....Mr. Former Vice President, what don't you understand about "defensive" firearms? When you shoot an assailant to stop a threat, you are not doing so with the purpose of putting a small hole in the attacker that can be easily treated later. You want to stop the threat, now.

A bunch of 22LR in a non-critical area may still kill...eventually. But, in that time, the assailant can still close in on you and end you before they succumb to their injuries.

Not really. It was designed for law enforcement originally and is one of the machine guns I would buy if I could. Being able to dump 180-275 rounds of 22 on target at a rate of 1200rpm will ruin any bad guys day.

Not really. It was designed for law enforcement originally and is one of the machine guns I would buy if I could. Being able to dump 180-275 rounds of 22 on target at a rate of 1200rpm will ruin any bad guys day.

I fail to see how the quality of the gun has any relevance to the number of struck, unfired .22LR rounds we sweep off the floor of the range each weekend.
