I just Read the order.... He's calling up members of the individual ready reserve for "operation Atlantic resolve".

For those who aren't familiar, every single male has an 8 year military commitment to the US. Most military contracts are either a 4 or 6 year contract. What most don't realize is you're not off the hook after those 4 or 6 years. You then go on "individual ready reserve" status for either 4 or 2 years to complete your 8 year obligation. During the IRR status your are supposed to be keeping yourself in shape and ready to be called back if needed.


Why are we calling back people who are recently separated.... For a "drill" no less... Hmmmmm lemme think.

I was IRR on 9/11. On 9/12 the local recruiter came to my work (they knew where to go which was interesting enough) and confirmed my status and contact information.

I should clarify my previous statement above.

Military recruitment is way down.

RED State America has finally woken up after JAN 6th and will not participate in WW3. DC tourism is gone. The city is facing bankruptcy. Who do you think actullay goes to DC? The indoctrinated inner city country hating folks or the indoctrinated RED state folks shedding a tear at the foot of the Lincoln memorial? lol

The Vax mandate forced a lot of members out.

Military personnel's ECC and EAS dates are approaching some are currently in an IRR status with no replacements in their MOS.

Rotating personal from IRR to active will help but it isn't a long term solution. I also believe they will involuntarily extend others.
