Let’s not even talk about “military weapons” for a second (even though one minute you can’t use an AR to overthrow the government and the next they are literally weapons of war), but why can’t we own any gun the secret service can have? Why is a dementia patients life worth more than anyone else’s? I should be able to protect myself just the same. Old Joe is on borrowed time. His brain is mush.

And to the people talking about how banning handguns is a new thing, it's been in the Dem playbook forever. The NFA originally would've included handguns. I remember an old episode of All in the Family where a TV broadcast shows some Dem newscaster talking about how all handguns ought to be banned (Meathead in favor, and Archie opposed). In 1968 you got the import restrictions banning Saturday Night Specials and "non-sporting" imports. Democrats definitely don't want handguns banned, they just don't want you or me to have them.
