Of course, then there's the "sundowning" thing to consider. Then it's sleepy time.
I doubt 8pm was just picked at random.

My wife and her sister were the caretakers of a family member who suffered from dementia.
I was often involved with helping the wife with her caretaking responsibilities. I have seen the "sundowning" thing many times. I can spot it a mile away.

Also, a person with dementia after years of steady decline at some point will quickly deteriorate. They will keep on keeping on for years to some extent. But then whammo a big downfall happens. October Surprise?

I'm not an expert but unfortunately, I have been up close and personal with dementia, too close.
I sort of know what I'm talking about. :(
