Clarification of Presidential Pardons
As it stands now, a pardon means the person cannot be charged or tried for a federal crime committed within the time the pardon covers.
However, what it does not cover is:
- Civil actions;
- State criminal charges; and
- Being called as a witness in an investigation.
Also, when a person accepts a Presidential Pardon, they can no longer invoke their 5th Amendment right to remain silent in a federal investigation, because they no longer have federal criminal liability.
This is important because they would have to testify at any federal hearing - like a Congressional investigation or Grand Jury investigating others - and could not refuse to answer questions.
And if they lie, they can be charged with perjury.

Hunter, Jill and the rest who got pardons are all independently wealthy with dirty treason money. They shouldn't get to keep it.

Nobody has pardons from any states yet.
Fraud, extortion, money laundering, etc.. are all state crimes too.
Plus, a leopard can't change it's spots.
It's a safe bet these guys are going to keep up their old ways.
