Tapping the reserve is among the few things a president can do alone to try to control inflation. According to the Department of Energy, the reserve is always “drawdown ready,” meaning it can release crude oil to the market within 13 days of the president’s direction.

Biden’s six-month timeframe will begin in May, according to a Bloomberg report, meaning as many as 180 million barrels will be released from the strategic reserve. That means that even if the U.S. doesn’t add any barrels to the reserve, and no additional releases are ordered, there would still be roughly 388 million barrels in the emergency stock.

So, 6 months, roughly the time frame between now and the election. I don't think his motive could be any more blatant.

Somehow I expect the price of gas to be higher then than it is now anyway...

36 days of oil in the political stockpile, if it was full. I think we have about 30 days worth in there right now.

Just use it all. It makes no difference.

Keep in mind this is the SECOND RELEASE of Strategic Oil, and while the Democrats are singing his praises, they refuse to acknowledge that the US uses 15 MILLION Barrels of Oil a day, so that 1/15th doesn't amount to anything more than Free Cheese to welfare recipients in exchange for Political support.

Do you know a Ship can carry 2.5 to 3.5 Million Gallons of Fuel Oil?
How many non-nuclear Ships do we have?

I wonder how they get the oil out of the strategic reserves. There is no way it is being pumped out of a well from an underground reservoir(s). That would not be environmentally friendly.

Unfortunately we will probably never know...

Crude oil is Russia’s biggest export, accounting for $123 billion of its export revenues, data for 2019 shows. Next on the list are refined petroleum – things like petrol and diesel – at $66.2 billion, gas at $26.3 billion and coal at $17.6 billion.

Russia's total national exports in 2020 (couldn't find 2021 data) was about $330 billion. 229 / 330 billion of its exports are fossil fuels. 69% of all of Russias exports are thing like gas and oil. America isn't close to that.

As soon as Pelosi and her henchmen handwringers came out with backing for Ukraine that was the pivotal moment, coupled with the Biden Crime Family ties to the region and the Russian fear porn the Left has used against the American People with Election fraud, nuclear attacks, and a sundry of other questionable coincidences.
