Makes sense. Lumber prices are through the roof, why not increase them to highway robbery level?

Didn't the democrat establishment whine and criticize the Trump administration when he hit China with the tarrifs? The difference is the stock market soared under those decisions. The stuff being tarrifed was in competition with US goods.
Right now there is a lumber shortage due to labor shortage, we need the lumber.
Apparently the Trump China tarrifs are still in place. It's all about the tax money being collected and pissed away. Biden is running out of things to tax.
This will also impact the cost of construction for the infrastructure bills being rammed through.
Biden admin is full of economic geniuses.
