State of Emergency declared in Albany County

Ok, this is stupid. 11 am? A state of emergency means no unnecessary travel. Emergency vehicles only, and the like. So no one can go out now to get groceries, gas, or even go to work now? It hasn't even started snowing yet! How about waiting to declare a state of emergency until there's a valid reason to ban unnecessary travel because of actual dangerous conditions, or am I missing something?

Snowplow just rumbled past for the second time today, seriously we got maybe 3" so far.

Pisses me off, the town tarred and stoned my road in September, second time in 19 years I've lived here, the stone was mostly scraped off the last time it snowed, why bother!

we're "supposed" to get a foot of snow. This is WNY and a foot of snow isn't anything. Business as usual as I see it. 15 years ago, maybe 20..we got 7 feet in a day and a half. Slowed the place down for a few days. The furher is grandstanding...as usual.

ok...got a foot of snow across the driveway...2 foot on the apron from plows.....shoveled the walk....snowblowed the double wide drive...125 feet long...done in an hour. (20 year old blower) Sun's shinning..roads are clear. Furher should get OUT of the weather business. This "storm" as advertised should not of gotten so much hype.
