So, clothing is now illegal to buy or own.
You have to register lumps of aluminum.
you have to register long-arms that you make (even though there is no Federal Law to this effect), even if you don't have to register the same long-arms if you buy from someone else.
And you can only buy ammo if you have permission to buy the "weapon". Well, ignoring that the Constitution says I can buy pretty much any weapon, I can still buy the ammo, since most ammo works in different types of guns. (ie: 9mm carbine, 45Auto carbine, etc.)

And all of this will be under some database that New York creates, since the Feds have already told them to go pound sand if they want to use the Federal databases.

Back in 2013 is when it started. When NYS wanted to use the feds for checks on ammo sales. NYS was indeed told to pound salt, among other things.

If it ships to an FFL and you pick it up there, you are just buying your ammo at the FFL and handling his inventory for him, you're not really mail ordering it.
