Anyone in the area have a FFL they use with reasonable transfer costs? Looking to buy a gun off gunbroker and need to have it transferred. My usual guy gave up his license.

I go to Johnsons Gun Shop on Rte. 11 just south of Marathon. His rates are always good and he is registered with Gunbroker.

There's also a guy who does it out of his basement in vestal. I can't remember the name, but I have his hard at home. It was $25 fee too last I knew.

My buddy who used to have an FFL told me to call the dealer who had the MC1 listed, good thing I did, the weekend sales staff sold it and traded it's place with a black MC1 and didn't tell the girl in charge of gunbroker sales.

Genuine question as this is the first I heard it...why would you need a Broome County FFL for a handgun transfer? Is this something the county requires?

Broome FFL not needed. Most of my business has been done with one in Cortland Co, but he doesn't have his FFL anymore.
