These are amazing self-defense shotguns. I am wondering if you can add side railings for flash lights and other optics.

Can't tell by their photos and they don't have anything listed on if the slots at the 10-11 and 1-2 o'clock are M-Lok or just heat vents.
I'm leaning toward heat vents or whatever you want to call it soooo that rules that option out.
Only other way I can see is mounting everything off of the top Pic rail

It takes 5-Round Magazines, which is nice (the KSG is a bear to load) - but....
I'm concerned that despite the 50-State Legal claim, it may not be so. Especially in Mass.
Also, there is no mention of what length rounds it accepts. The KSG can hold an amazing number of the under 2" shorties.

The Tactical is a semi that has the additional railings. not the Pump.
I could be wrong but these may actually be M-Lok slots. Or well the Turkish unlicensed copy of M-Lok
Is any state or city now banning Picaninny?

Picaninny is critical, and is the prime flaw in the SKS Rifle.

What do the M-Lok slots do?
So M-Lok is a mounting system for lights/grips/switches (whole bunch of things) either directly or by mounting picatinny rail.
These slots are M-Lok slots
And here is an example of a section of picatinny rail that can be mounted to an M-lok slot but tensioning down on the screw
And now that picatinny rail can be used to attach different accessories like mentioned before
And here is a Light mount that is actually an M-Lok mount and skips the need for the picatinny and will mount directly to the slot for an example
