Background checks will not stop the deranged or determined....never have, never will. When Las Vegas first happened and i heard there were over 20k people at that concert, the first thing I thought was that although tragic, its a good thing only guns were used....

When my path crossed Bloomberg, in friendly audiences, I was amazed that his security detail was so large, aggressive, and intrusive. This was not the case with Giuliani or Pataki.
