I still think Biden wins the nomination, but there is a lot of buzz about Warren. A big problem for her is she is wildly radical and will have a difficult time getting money because she claims to hate rich people and they don't want her to win.
I know nothing about bloomberg really except he's not as radical as warren and is probably not as confused and utterly boring as biden has become.
"Gun violence is a serious threat to public safety and it affects communities across the country. Leaders in these communities are all too familiar with the toll gun violence takes and have an essential role to play in addressing it.
In 2006, then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and then-Boston Mayor Thomas Menino founded Mayors Against Illegal Guns as an original coalition of 15 mayors. The coalition has since grown to a bipartisan group of more than 1,000 current and former mayors from the smallest towns to the biggest cities in nearly every state.
Our mayors are leaders in advocating for life-saving gun safety reforms from local programs to state and federal legislation."
Or other billionaires who think they can just enter and buy their way into the white house. Say what you want about trump, he entered the primaries in 2012 and was a household name well before the 2016 campaign. But guys like bloomberg and steyer just think all they have to do is throw money around to get into the white house. It shows they don't understand how or why trump won.
You are soooo correct. Apparently, Bloomberg played a big role in flipping Virginia in the election three days ago. Excerpt from a CNBC article:
"A gun-control lobbying group funded largely by billionaire Michael Bloomberg just helped Democrats take over the state government in Virginia – right in the National Rifle Association’s backyard.
In Tuesday’s elections, the Democrats tipped the Virginia House and Senate in their favor, giving them full control of the state government for the first time since 1994. The election had stronger-than-usual turnout in the suburbs, according to media reports.
While the results could be a good omen for Democrats’ chances in 2020, it may also be a tipping point in the money battle over gun rights. Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun-control advocacy group that the former New York mayor helps fund, spent $2.5 million this year to influence voters in Virginia versus approximately $300,000 by the NRA, which has its headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia."
Bloomberg is an arrogant SOB. However, a lot of people in and outside of NY thought he did a good job as mayor. He is probably stronger than any of the Dem candidates. Considering he was a 'republican' when he served as mayor of NY, he could pull some of the republican vote across the country. People are bound to look at him as having the business where with all to continue economic growth in a Trump/billionaire fashion while supporting Liberal values. No matter what the libs say about Trump, Trump can point to a booming economy. Bloomberg can talk to that success and promise to keep it going. He certainly would have less of a negative impact on the economy than the other candidates. Face it, Warren wins, the stock market tanks. Bloomberg wins, maybe not so much. One thing is for certain, Bloomberg wins and the 2nd amendment is in serious trouble.
