There is one mounted to a bench that everyone uses.
For 9mm PCC, you would usually go to the small bore range. Paper targets and steel plates on chains are set at 50 yds. There’s a spotting scope attached to a pole there. Most of the stations have a shooting bench/table and chair. They also provide sturdy wood blocks and small sand bags For rifle rests. You could also shoot at the pistol range where RO Walt presides. He’s a great guy. Target setup is described in another post. Shooting is done from a standing position at a waist high benchWhich range would they put you on with a 9mm PCC
Thanks, this is all very helpful. What if I wanted to zero a 556 at 50 yards?
you guys are awesome - thanks

Will they let you shoot a 9mm PCC at the large bore 100 yard range?
What time do you suggest you get there on a Saturday?

^^^outstanding.
It’s amazing given how liberal Westchester is that the public range has been so accommodating. And yes, I agree we should all thank the men and women who willingly work and allow us to exercise our God given freedom and have fun too. On another note I played 18 holes today at Dunwoodie Golf course. The place was also PACKED! And the workers were so cool and accommodating. In fact with the new rules (everyone gets their own cart and no lifting of the pins) it’s never run smoother. I am very thankful for all the Westchester County Parks workers allowing us to enjoy life.I will say this FOR THE RECORD.
The staff that runs Blue Mountain Sportsmans Center has been VERY supportive of the local shooting community through all of this "pandemic" shutdown bullshit. YES, the range is run by the county, but it still requires people to show up to work and run the place. The RSOs that are there, Joe, Jeff, Walt (ya'll know Walt) and the rest of the guys are all 2A supporters, shooters and do what they do for the love of the sport/lifestyle.
The guys in the office that run the facility day to day and the management have also expressed to me that they are happy that the facility is open and that people are coming out, shooting, enjoying the fresh air, using the facility, and getting some fun in, during all of this.
They have been very accommodating for us as a company in still being able to run classes and plan events.
Next time you are there, and you go to check in at the lodge and/or when you get down to the range, why not give the guys working a "thank you".
I for one greatly appreciate all that they do there. Think about it, this is the ONE place that kept going, business as usual through out all of this shutdown, quarantine panic bullshit.
