First I’m not sure I believe it but even if it is true the article states the rate of crossings has been dropping since February anyway. So I’m not sure his signed paper impacted this much. It seems his supporters aren’t happy he did this anyway. I’m sure it won over a few moderates.

The truth is cities stopped reporting the stats to the FBI ... `I did hear a news report on the radio that violent crime has dropped in this country. ...
