The us/Mexico border is nearly 2,000 miles. Thats impossible to patrol solely with humans 24/7.Which is why we should man up the border.

You obviously don't have kids. Why are random 3 year olds wandering around unsupervised? That's on the parents if they wander off, not me.
I do. In the age range you noted. I don't let them out of the house unsupervised. You obviously don't have kids.

It only takes a moment with your back turned. Not saying I agree with the in-gro8nd fencing requirement, but the spirit of the building code is to protect kids, not criminals.I do. In the age range you noted. I don't let them out of the house unsupervised.
Sure it is possible.
Take me through the logistics then of having a monitoring tower ever 300 meters for 2,000 miles and switching out the personell every 8 to 12 hours. Id love to hear it.I do. In the age range you noted. I don't let them out of the house unsupervised.

It's easier to build a tower at every X meter interval than a continuous wall, so if that is feasible then less work for towers is too.Take me through the logistics then of having a monitoring tower ever 300 meters for 2,000 miles and switching out the personell every 8 to 12 hours. No, I asked for the actual logistical plan to man a tower every 300 meters. Construction workers going to a site, doing a job, and leaving forever is not the same as rotating a continuous shift every 8-12 hours on a permanent basis in a remote location. How many CBP agents per tower? What are their rules of engagement? How will they travel to and from the outposts that are hundreds of miles from the nearest town? It's easier to build a tower at every X meter interval than a continuous wall, so if that is feasible then less work for towers is too.
How are the construction workers getting there to build the continuous wall? The patrols can travel there by the same method as the workers would have used.

Too bad someone didn't warn the Ming Dynasty before they wasted hundreds of years building thousands of miles of Wall for nothing.
But there was a continuous wall....You're proving my point without even knowing it. The great wall had 100,000+ soldiers in garrisons for hundreds of years. It wasn't just a wall they stuck there and then f'ed off. It wasn't so much a wall, it was more of a linear fort.
To be fair, walls work......and work well.Good. The wall is stupid.
Roll in the manpower instead. If I wanted to keep someone out of my backyard I'd take an armed guard over a fence.
But Trump wanted it, so walls are stupid. And so are oil pipelines. And so is a strong military and a booming economy. And oxygen. Its all stupid and none of it works. To be fair, walls work......and work well.
From Israel to The Great Wall Of China, walls habe worked for centuries.
In fact, its kind of hard to find countries who dont have a wall to stop invasion or migration.
Just a few.....
Israel
Hungary
South Africa
South Korea
Egypt
Spain
Botswana
Kuwait
Yemen
India
Bulgaria
Iraq
Macedonia
Hong Kong
Zimbabwe
Poland
Afghanistan
Uzbekistan
Brunel
Saudi Arabia
And many more with either full walls or wall sections.
Also, dozens of other countries are in the process of building a wall, or a wall is proposed.
EVERY SINGLE USA border agency and EVERY SINGLE border wall study shows that walls work great.....every one.
A wall doesnt need to completely stop movement, walls can also slow progression long enough for humans to show up. Walls can also funnel movement to prefered areas. And walls can be a deterrent.
No brainer! Why do you think the shitball Dems are so against it? They work!To be fair, walls work......and work well.

I know some people who own property on the border.......thousands of acres of farm land. Its common knowledge down there but not really talked about.....and that is this......Just wondering what would happen if, Texas, fer instance, simply stationed agents/police/guard on the border and authorized lethal force to deter invaders ?
A fence makes it more difficult to sneak across.I do. In the age range you noted. I don't let them out of the house unsupervised.
Sure it is possible.
I believe the proof is clear.A fence makes it more difficult to sneak across.
It slows down the intruders giving the people guarding the border more time to react.
It makes it more expensive for the coyotes, forcing them to charge more to maintain their profit a
margin. Supply and demand causes illegal immigration to diminish.
Have you done a cost/benefit analysis on the various methods of reducing illegal immigration ? What is the optimum mix of strategies to maximize our effectiveness per tax dollar ?
What evidence do you have that other methods are superior to the wall ?
Are you familiar with the concept of "defense in depth" ? How about "force multiplier" ?
There is a reason medieval castles had both walls *and* guards. Neither is very effective without the other.
