Will urge Albany to make team coaches exempt from conduction a bcg ck on team members as they dist ammunition to student athletes for practive and competition...
Never thought of that affect..GOOD I hope so. We need sports like this at the HS level to continue the fundemental sport of shooting.

Cops absolutely.
Departments is an interesting question... as it's not a person it's an entity like a gun shop. I'm unaware of the answer but are gun shops required to do background checks on themselves prior to ordering ammo stock for the shop?

someone here on the site is a FFL and did just that to test the system and got delayed .. go figure ..

If you have a permit (in opposition to the constitution) why do you need to register anything.
Why do you need further background checks.
Why when purchasing can't I just show my permit and be on my merry way.
It is all to control the populace, no other reason,
A law never stopped anyone who was going to break a law from breaking the law. (kinda like heels up on that sentence).

Ammunition being sold/supplied for use on the Range where it's being issued is already exempt from the check.
Unless someone blows you in, there's no way to know if one wasn't done... we're tattling on ourselves and giving the State more information that they'd get on an arrest report.

I hate to agree, but I do; the Legislators know that if they offer carve-outs for special groups that reduces the number of complaints while giving them the talking point of compromise... There are several things that need to happen: if everyone submitted an ammunition check, it would overload the system even if for a short time, it would piss-off a fair amount of folks even more as they're placed on "Delay" and it might actually inspire them to do something as simple as sending an e-mail with "Ammunition background check" in the subject line and a BLUF of: "This is overreaching bullshit, and we're NOT going to take it!" Dispense with the ass-kissing niceties and the point will be loud and clear.
Down side of doing a check either for a gun or ammunition IS that the State IS building a registry database, and we're giving them all the information they could possibly want. How so? That Cell number you had to supply? Yea, that smart phone knows within a foot of exactly where you are, that e-mail address? Yea, we can track your internet usage and the web sites you interacted with. Occupation, complete social security number, not accepting ID from any other State, would be perfect information for investigating you and someone hacking into the system has everything they need to fuck over your life with identity theft... think about it.

Wouldn’t refusing to sell ammunition to a non resident with a valid out of state ID be interfering with interstate commerce? Asking cuz I am a box of rocks about this stuff

I agree with this , to an extent. Unfortunately the end result will be if it becomes too difficult for them to get what they need they’ll just shut down the program. We have few too little schools as it is that still participate in this program.

Valid question for which I have no answer: You MUST supply a NY Client ID Number in the drop-down box or you cannot proceed.
"Shoot, Shovel, Shut-Up" should become SOP.

use donated funds for the trap / skeet teams ..

a person goes and buys 50 or 100 cases of shot shells ..

then you just give the boxs of shells to the kids as needed at the shoot

your not a seller of ammunitions ..

i don't think there is a "you can't give ammo away law " ..
