Screw me, I pressure washed and put away the plow already. Now I gotta drag it back out from the back, mount the shoes, test the connectors, and find the pallet of salt. I vaguely remember being low on hydraulic fluid last year. Haven't a clue what weight the Western needs. Honda HS snowblower hasn't been started in like 5 years now. I just wanted rain.

Had to laugh today when I stopped in the market. There was only 1 half gallon of milk in the fridge. Everybody on line had 3 to 5 half gallons in the carts. Its gonna snow a total of 12 hours and get 12" max. How long do they think they will be snowed in?

There IS a Special Snow Plow Fluid that can be had at most Plow Shops, NAPA, etc. it's Blue,, Zero Weight, and has anti-foam and Water Dispersion properties...LOTS of Folks use ATF/Dextron, which will work, Synthetic is better, Plow Fluid is the BEST.

FWIW: I serviced/repaired about 90% of the Vehicle Mounted Electric/Hydraulic Snow Plows (pick-up trucks, HMMWV, LMTV's etc.)
About every other year or so, you should drop the fluid (preferably the Tank where you can clean, add a magnet, and re-attach the screen) to get the water out...they really aren't all that complicated, but they ARE highly neglected.
