I have wondered about the people who jump off tall buildings or bridges. It's got to suck if a person regrets that decision just as they step off. Even if they don't regre ah fuck it. I don't know how to explain it.

Anyway, stepping in front of a fast-moving freight train or something like that would be the better course of action it seems. You know, splat, and it's done. No time to regret the decision.

But someone burning themselves alive I just can't wrap my head around that shit. I suppose it's a way to draw attention to, dang, nothing is worth, Ho Lee Fuk! That has to be the worst.

But what do I know about it? I'm a normal person that rationally deals with bad shit or my firmly held belief or opinions in a normal way. You know, the self-preservation thing.

He died, likely no open casket at the funeral. Maybe he'll be cremated... already off to a good start.

If I was going to off myself, protesting or not, dowsing myself with a flammable then lighting myself on fire would be at the bottom of my list of choices on how to depart.

More or less except it's not just cnn. Fox etc. are there too. He knew basically every news organization was going to be there. If you wanted to stage a protest are you going to do it in the middle of Nebraska with nobody around or outside the courthouse on opening week of the first ever president criminally charged that has 50 news vans posted up outside? If attention is your goal I think the answer is obvious.

Any kind of burn trauma to your oropharynx without your airway being secured by an endotrachael tube; it's game over.

Not to mention that the inhalation of CO2 and toxic fumes. We usually treat smoke inhalation with Hydroxocobalamin and Sodium Thiosulfate.

In most cases where people have severe burns to their oropharynx we only have one shot to intubate them. We would first sedate you using Etomidate, then tube. You have to be very skilled and quick, any kind of irritation will make your chords close up like a clam.

Exactly what I said in different words. The only reason I bring up CNN is because their reporter's play by play was all over X. There may have been dialog from other outlets, I just didn't see them. The flaming idiot knew exactly what he was doing.

No cric, even on a critical care level. The only thing close was needle cricothyrotomy, and it is useless procedure. Try blowing through a coffee stirring straw, it's the same thing pretty much. It hasn't been in NYC protocol for quite some time.

And no paralytics for rapid sequence intubation since there's hospitals within a 10-15 minute proximity.

No RSI that sucks I agree the needle crocs are useless and creepy AF used one once it clogged up in about 60sec
