Our local media outlets tend to minimize their deporting of shootings or 'gun' crime.
The two exceptions to this are when the story gets picked up outside the local market, and when it happens in City of Newburgh.

I think crime in the TOWN of Newburgh is probably about average. Take out Walmart and it's probably below. Shootings/gun crime isn't really common. Usually crap that spills over from the city.
