I think it was the ATF ruling on polymer 80 kits just by his small mention of polymer 80. But I am not sure .

It means in free states, 80% are just parts and are not firearms. Here in NY, they are considered firearms. Basically the court said the ATF overstepped their authority by writing laws that they are not constitutionally allowed to do since they are in the executive branch.

I may not be understanding but I think they could sell, they just could not sell the jig with the 80%, it had to be obtained from a 3rd party.
This is based upon that Fed/SCOTUS rulings a while back that limited the EPA's authority and all other agencies, from making up laws willy nilly.

All the rulings by the courts lately, on guns,, and Fed authority, are heading for another big showdown at SCOTUS, that has to rule AGAIN in different ways, like remanding and not granting Certiorari------------ that ghost guns are legal under the constitution and any bans like the Safe Act gun related bs, will be toast on the wood fired pizza oven.

I am thinking that Polymer 80 lowers will now be able to be sold without serial numbers in free states,- just like they were before the ATF passed its’ rule in the summer of 2022.
Probably struck down because ATF has no authority with a "Rule" ATF has NO authority at all! Not Elected!!!! They are a fictitious agency created by .GOV along with the other Alphabet agencies.

Tell me how the ATF is authorized to buy guns and then lose the same guns to criminals. Later the same guns turn up in crimes and you would think that the ATF agent that bought the gun and lost the gun would be held accountable for his/her mistake, you would be wrong.

The ATF and DOJ, have no power to enact any gun legislation at all, that was not ACTUALLY passed by Congress.
"Final Rule"............is illegal and defunct now, just like the College Loan and Admission bullshit.
It is legal again to build ghost guns in CONUS,, except in NYS, and that NYS 80% law is unconstitutional, and will fall in time.

I really want to see someone take the pistol brace about face and use that to argue that the whole SBR/SBS section of the NFA is void for vagueness.
If the federal agency responsible for enforcing it changes their mind about what it means, then obviously it wasn't clear enough to begin with.

Logically, SCOTUS will likely let both rulings stand, and refuse certiori----- they are totally dead and unenforceable.
NYS is clearly out of control, legally..the SCOTUS ruling that says arresting a felon who had served his sentence, who was in possession of a gun and was arrested for it........ now means thousands of NY'ers may get out of prison on that charge.
