This is so hard to watch and breaks my heart for those poor innocent victims and their families.
It feels as if we live in a constant war zone but we dont know who the enemy really is.

The 2nd Amendment states that we have the right TO bear arms, not that we MUST bear arms. Additionally, there may have been armed persons in the vicinity that didn’t feel they would have been able to assist without injuring others.
None of us were there, and it’s easy to say what we would do in a situation without having actually been present. An armed populace, while (I think) is a good thing, is not a virtual guarantee that every bad actor will immediately be taken down by armed citizenry.
